5 Fandom Friday: Things I Love About Halloween
I have to say that I didn't know if participate or not in this week #5FF because we don't celebrate Halloween in Spain, we have the day of the dead and we eat chestnuts and sweet potatoes but nothing like Halloween. But here is my list of things I love about Halloween:
1. The first time I heard about Halloween was on TV, watching the Peanuts, I was amazed and I still love it!
2. Jack o lanterns are really cool! I'd like to try to make one someday....
3. I remember the first time I saw how americans celebrate Halloween and it was also through a very funny TV show called Roseanne.... I can't find that episode but here is a piece of the show...
4. I love the fact that when I grew up I realized that on TV there are typical american terror movies about Halloween that you don't get to see on TV the rest of the year.
5. I love the fact that parents can make of their children really weird characters, some even disturbing.... I would love to have children and dress them like a monster without the other mothers think I'm mentally ill...
Halloween is becoming popular so maybe sometime we will be celebrating it also in Spain!
I love that you were able to come up with things about Halloween that you love even though you don't traditionally celebrate it in your country. :) You should be a rebel and start celebrating it every year! ;) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
ResponEliminaMandy! That would be not the same... The perfect thing would be to visit the States on Halloween :)
EliminaHalloween: America's greatest cultural export???
ResponEliminaKatherine, the greatest cultural export is Santa Claus! Almost everybody celebrates it in Spain, but I live in Catalonia and we still mantain our Xmas traditions :)
